Almost 30 years ago, we started with a team of three experienced oil and gas professionals and a simple goal: help oil and gas companies streamline their back office operations. Now, with decades of oil and gas back office outsourcing experience and a team of 40 employees, that is still what we focus on every day. Many of our clients that were with us on Day 1 in 1998 are still with us today!

Our Management Team

Dennis M. Pade – RLP, CDOA, ExTex Founder,
Co-Owner, Manager

Co-Owner of ExTex Division Order Services, LLC. Dennis is a native Coloradan, born in Arvada, educated in Arvada schools with College at both Mesa State College in Grand Junction and Colorado University in Boulder.

Dennis developed, coordinated, and implemented the ExTex Concept of Operations which are the company fundamentals currently in place.

He is a certified Division Order Analyst and a Registered Land Professional with the American Association of Landmen. He is currently an active member of DADOA, NADOA, DAPL, AAPL and NARO.

From 1981-1998, Dennis served as the manager of the Lease Ownership Department for Equiva Trading Company, formerly Texaco Trading and Transportation Inc. (TTTI). He was co-author of the Technical Training Manual for the Division Order Department still in use today by the successors to TTTI.

Chris Pennels – ExTex Founder, Co-Owner,
Manager

Chris has been one of the three co-owners of Extex since its inception. He is currently responsible for the supervision of the Regulatory and Tax divisions, as well as the general accounting and administrative functions of the company.

Chris is a Certified Division Order Analyst through the National Association of Division Order Analysts and a Registered Land Professional through the American Association of Professional Landmen. He is an active member of these organizations, as well as the Denver Association of Division Order Analysts and the Denver Association of Petroleum Landmen.

Chris began his work in the oil and gas industry in 1981 with Grynberg Petroleum Company as a Landman. In 1985 he assumed the same duties with Baumgartner Resources until 1988 when he began as a Contract Division Order Analyst with Texaco Trading and Transportation (TTTI). He became a full-time Division Order Analyst in 1989 and worked at TTTI until 1999 when Extex was formed.

Chris is a graduate of the University of Denver (BSBA, 1977 and MBA, 1981).

Boyd Sanstra – ExTex Founder, Co-Owner,
Manager

Boyd has been a co-owner at ExTex since inception. His current duties include IT development, management, integration of computer hardware, software and database systems. Boyd specializes in unique requirements needed to process oil and gas revenue accounting and division order maintenance within these systems.

From 1989-1998, Boyd served as a Division Order Analyst for Equiva Trading Company. He also provided computer support and was the advisor to the Equiva Information Services Group.

Boyd graduated from the University of Northern Colorado, BSBA in Marketing, 1989.
